facilities, equipments/ instrumentation:
Installation for magnetic measurements
Year of acquisition:
2009
Average value at the time of acquisition :
250000
Short Description:
This installation, used for complex measurements at low temperatures (1.6-700 K) and intense magnetic fields (0-12 T), incorporates some of the most frequently used experimental techniques in one automated measurement system. The system incorporates a cryostat and a superconducting magnet cooled using a closed helium circuit and can be used for measurements at intense magnetic fields and low temperatures. Temperature stability in the VTI (Variable Temperature Insert) is: 3 mK at 10.5 K, 5 mK at 100 K and 300 mK at 300 K. The experimental facilities include: AC susceptibility measurements (10-7 emu sensitivity), harmonic analysis, DC magnetization measurements (VSM method), hysterezis curve measurements and fundamental magnetic parameters measurements (Ms, Hc, Hk, Hrm) (10-6 emu sensitivity).
