please provide any additional info you would like to includeThe Center of Applied Nuclear Physics (CANP) was created in 2008 on the basis of the ex-Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Albanian Academy of Sciences, which was founded in 1971. It is the only institution working in the field of application of nuclear methods and techniques in different fields and was developed due to the cooperation with IAEA. Its duties include: • Scientific research related with the applications of nuclear and related techniques • Teaching at the second cycle of studies (master, PhD) • Transfer of nuclear knowledge and technology • Services for the public and private companies Actually, CANP performs its research and educational activities as part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana. During this transition period all the working and financial schemes have changed and are still not very clear, especially those related to funding of research. Our main international counterpart is IAEA. Our teams participate in both national and regional IAEA TC projects. CANP cooperates extensively with different local and international institutions but this cooperation is based on common specific issues or projects.
