Dr Vladimir Gerdjikov from the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences,will visit the Department of Physics from the University of Craiova, Romania.
The visit will take place in the frame of the ICTP – SEENET project “Cosmology and Strings”.
During the visit Prof. Gerdjikov will conduct some research seminars and will give four lectures on nonlinear dynamics and integrability addressed to young researchers and PhD students in Physics and Mathematics from Craiova.
The titles and the date of the lectures are:
- 7 november: Riemann-Hilbert problems and integrable nonlinear evolution equations
- 12 november: Soliton solutions via the dressing Zakharov-Shabat method
- 14 november: Wronskian relations and conservation laws of NLEE
- 19 november: The inverse scattering method – generalized Fourier transform
During his stay in Romania, Prof. Gerdjikov will also meet colleagues from Bucharest and Timisoara.
Common scientific papers are expected as an outcome of the visit.
