The year 2014 holds a particular significance for CERN: on 29 September it will be exactly 60 years since the CERN was founded. Today CERN has 21 Member States and many other countries from around the world also participate in its research programme.
To celebrate this anniversary in style, CERN has put together a rich and attractive programme offering something for everyone: public lectures, guided tours, practical demonstrations and exhibitions inspired by science. CERN’s Member States are also hosting events to celebrate this anniversary. A variety of events of all kinds will provide a great opportunity for exchanges between the scientific community and the general public.
