It is with great sadness that the SEENET-MTP Network announces that Professor Yurii Sytenko passed away on October 5, 2023.
He was the SEENET-MTP member for twenty years and the representative of the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, Ukraine, in the SEENET-MTP Executive Committee since the Institute joined the Network in 2012.
Yurii was the correspondent member of the NAS of Ukraine, Head of the Department of the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology and the Synelnykov Award of the NAS of Ukraine, and well known for his works in quantum field theory, physics of elementary particles, gravitation, and condensed matter physics.
He has made an important contribution to developing the cooperation between physicists of Ukraine and the SEENET community.
We will keep our memories of him.
