It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of academician Ivan Todorov.
Ivan Todorov was one of the leading Bulgarian physicists and one of the most eminent theoretical physicists in the Balkan community.
Among his numerous contributions, he has made fundamental contributions to the axiomatic foundations of quantum field theory and conformal theories.
He was among the most active members of the first Scientific-Advisory Committee (2003-2016) of the SEENET-MTP Network.
Over the years, he contributed to establishing links among physicists in the region and with Europe.
Ivan Todorov considered his greatest achievement the success of the many generations of theoretical physicists he had mentored and guided into science.
Our community has lost an inspiring teacher and an ardent promoter of the natural sciences as a part of the human culture.
We will remember Prof. Todorov for his passionate lectures in mathematical physics, his distinguished academic style, and his generosity in sharing his knowledge.
