I will focus of the phenomena and observable admitting analytic understanding. The lectures will include three topics:\n<ul>\n<li>Evolution of linear perturbations prior to the epoch of recombination and the way they are encoded in the anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background radiation.<\/li>\n<li>Evolution of the matter power spectrum in the linear and mildly non-linear regimes, the baryon acoustic oscillations as a unique probe of the expansion history of the universe.<\/li>\n<li>Formation of virialized structures, such as galactic halos, due to gravitational instability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">Throughout the lectures I will highlight the potential of various observables to probe new physics beyond the standard cosmological model. At the present<br \/>\nstate-of-the-art, the simplest inflationary models from these classes<br \/>\nproducing the best fit to all existing astronomical data requires one,<br \/>\nmaximum two dimensionless parameters taken from observations only.
