General Information

Faculty of Science and Mathematics (PMF) Nis and Astronomical Observatory Belgrade (AOB) are organizing the Spring School on Strings, Cosmology and Particles. Serbian Physical Society-Section Nis is the local coorganizer.

The school will be held from 31st March to 4th April 2009 in the Astronomical Observatory Belgrade and Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Nis (The opening day is March 31st and lectures will be given at AOB (Volgina 7 street, Belgrade). Rest of the program will be realized at PMF in Nis (Visegradska 33 street). The last day of the event – April 4th – will be organized as a workshop). This event is a part of the SEENET-MTP network activity.

Goals

The purpose of the School is to improve knowledge of the students and young researchers in the fields of the event. Lecturers will basically give 3 lectures, 60 minutes each as a rule, starting from an introductory level which should be gradually advanced. At least one pedagogical course is planned. A part of this meeting is organized as a workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to foster and improve the communication among the researchers in the Balkan region and give opportunity to the young researchers to present their recent results. The workshop talks should take 30-45 minutes.
